Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow:
Generally a result from overuse or repetitive stress to the tendons. Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, occurs in the outer part of the elbow. Golfer’s elbow, medial epicondylitis, involves the tendons on the inner side of the elbow where the forearm muscles connect. Both conditions lead to pain around the bony prominences of the elbow. This pain is intensified by lifting or gripping activities.
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome:
This is compression or pinching of the ulnar nerve on the medial (inner side) of the elbow. The nerve is located behind the medial elbow bump and is responsible for pain when someone bumps their medial elbow. This commonly referred to as the “funny bone”. This nerve is also responsible for the function of many small muscles in the hand.
The pain, aching, stiffness and swelling in and around one or more joints is generally know as Rheumatoid Arthritis. The symptoms can develop gradually or suddenly. Arthritis is most common among adults age 65 or older, however people of all ages (including children) can be affected. Padgett Medical Stem Cell Therapy offers a non-invasive alternative. By using stem cells, the shoulder and surrounding areas can repair themselves and regain their function.
